ABOUT US
MidCoast Chiropractic Neurology was established in 2018 with one primary objective:
to increase access to Neurological Rehabilitation for those throughout the state of Maine and beyond who suffer from complex conditions affecting the function of the brain and nervous system, and to do this while upholding a commitment to individualized, comprehensive, patient-centered care.
While practicing in the Portland area for more than seven years and working with patients from all over the state, Dr. McNally heard one common message time and time again: “We need more doctors north of here who do what you do.” And so, with that common message and her unyielding passion for Clinical Neuroscience, Dr. McNally made the decision to pursue her dream of opening her own practice in the MidCoast region.
Elizabeth McNally, DC, DACNB, FABCDD, FABBIR, FABVR
As a child, Dr. McNally was fascinated with science, solving mysteries, and exploring her various interests from every possible perspective. This fascination led her to major in the Classics, Latin and Ancient Greek, the root languages from which scientific and medical terminology are derived. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College in 2006, she went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2010.
As a doctoral student at Palmer, she found Neurology to be of specific interest, so while attending to her education full time, she began additional studies in this specialized area with The Carrick Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation. She received her post-doctorate Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board in 2011. She then went on to receive her Fellowship of the American Board of Childhood Developmental Disorders in 2014, a Fellowship of the American Board of Brain Injury and Rehabilitation in 2015, and a Fellowship of the American Board of Vestibular Rehabilitation in 2018. Dr. McNally has additional training in Functional Neuro-Orthopedic Rehabilitation.
In addition to her passion for clinical neuroscience, Dr. McNally ’s interests include nutrition and physical rehabilitation, which she believes are integral to comprehensive patient care. In her free time, she enjoys a multitude of activities; in particular exercising, participating in various sports, and staying physically active, whatever the season. She also enjoys cooking and preparing healthy meals and snacks, and spending time with her two Black Labrador Retrievers, Rónán and Tiernan.

Tiernan
Tiernan is Dr. McNally's Black Labrador Retriever. You'll see his friendly face and wagging tail behind the front desk the moment you walk in the door.
He may not be able to book your next appointment, but he will certainly provide comfort to those who request his company while visiting our office.
